Desert Rat to the (n)th degree. I hate your city with a passion that rivals only my love for empty wide open space.

Oh and all my pictures are PHOTO MANIPULATION FREE. NO MASKING, NO CUT AND PAST, NO CLONING, NO LENS CORRECTION. It's all processed in RAW. There is the occasional crop but nothing that can't be done in a dark room.

So I just spent the last four hours motoring about your part of the desert, in search for the "easter house." I found nothing. :( Do you know where it is by any chance?

haha! Well excuse me then, I should have known five acres and a mule wasn't enough, you had to go and take the whole thing. :) Well, I was in the Wonder Valley/ 29 Palms area looking for this house. It is listed as the top "haunted attraction" in the high desert... Basically I got drug around on a wild goose chase with friends....However, this place DOES exist...

The Easter House is an abandoned shack in the desert, maybe 2 or 3 rooms and an outdoor volleyball court. It has Easter decorations everywhere and is super creepy. there are a ton of smashed easter eggs and drawings of easter eggs and kids names everywhere. There's this weird bunk bed that is built into the place, and then there's a mattress that was dragged in probably by some bum. The history (as told to me,) is; About ten years ago, neighbors reported a fire, and an odd smell coming from the house....when the police arrived, they found a 13 years old boy chained to his bed, and the fire in the back was the father burning the body of the sister - whom had been chained up in her closet, and died there.

Yes, I know this sounds like an absurd urban legend... but so what, it's an adventure just trying to find the damn place! :) I google earthed the general area, and I have a way better idea of where to find it now...between primrose and mojave....
